Baldur's Gate 3 - The Dark Urge

Larian Studios’ upcoming patch for Baldur’s Gate 3 is a doozy, adding the modding toolkit, new cinematics for evil playthroughs and more. However, it’s also introducing many fixes and improvements to the Origin characters, as outlined in a new Steam Community post.

Since Dark Urge enjoyers will have plenty to look forward to in Patch 7, the developer is fixing camera pops and bugs relating to missing Inspiration. It’s also confirmed that a “certain bard” can join the party temporarily if you have an empty slot.

Clipping issues, broken triggers and “the odd case of retrograde amnesia” have been fixed in various cinematics, Origin characters and more. Companions like Lae’zel will also wait longer in the spot where she’s to be recruited and have more idle animations in camp. Shadowheart will receive fixes for animation bugs and an issue preventing players from receiving the Spear of Night.

While party banter was previously limited only to companions controlled by one player, there will now be multiplayer banter if each person controls their own character. Stay tuned for more details on Patch 7 before its launch in September.
