Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden is roughly two weeks away, but DON’T NOD continues to hype it up. A new gameplay breakdown trailer outlines the setting, main characters, and more. Check it out below.

Players venture to New Eden in 1695 North America and control two Banishers – Red and Antea. While they’ve sworn an oath to protect bystanders from spectres and help spirits move on, there is a deeper agenda. After Antea becomes a spirit, Red is on a quest to resurrect her by harvesting others’ lives or helping her ascend, sticking to his Banisher oath.

In combat, players can seamlessly switch between the two, with Red relying on a rifle, sword and Banisher skills, while Antea uses ethereal attacks. Different upgrades for each character provide bonuses for the other, like increasing damage when switching to another character mid-combo. Antea can also traverse the world via the Veil and open new paths with her abilities.

Banishers: Ghosts of New Eden is out on February 13th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5 and PC. Check out what actors Russ Bain and Amaka Okafor have to say about their characters here.
