Wedbush Securities analyst Michael Pachter recently spoke about how Criterion Games, which left the Need for Speed franchise to work on new titles for EA, was working on a military-based first person shooter. He also suggested that it would be a new Battlefield game, possible an off-shoot of the main franchise. This was suggested because Pachter had a hard time believing that there would be no Battlefield game before the end of FY 2015.

Now, it seems that Pachter has changed his stance. He spoke to Eurogamer and now believes that Visceral Games is in charge of the first person shooter.

Yes, the same developer behind the Dead Space series and which is currently working on a Star Wars title for next gen consoles. They also have experience with the Army of TWO series, which could kind of qualify as a military shooter (maybe?).
