Beyond Good and Evil 2

Ubisoft’s Beyond Good and Evil 2 has been an enigma for many years. We received an official confirmation of its active development back at E3 2017, and since then the company has been dropping some new trailers here and there. The recent Space Monkey Report actually offered quite a bit of new gameplay and details, but it also revealed that another team was helping with development, too.

That team is Ubisoft Blue Byte, who joins the likes of Ubisoft Montpellier, Ubisoft Barcelona, Ubisoft Sofia, and Ubisoft Bordeaux. Blue Byte is known better for its ANNO series, and currently has ANNO 1800 in development for PC. The city-building title is currently slated to release in February 2019.

While it remains to be seen how Blue Byte will contribute to the project, Beyond Good and Evil 2 is still a ways off. Ubisoft hasn’t even confirmed whether it’s coming to Xbox One or PS4. Perhaps it’s meant for a stronger generation of consoles? We’ll have to wait for more information, but a beta is slated for 2019 end.
