Gearbox Software provided an entire hour’s worth of gameplay at yesterday’s gameplay reveal event for Borderlands 3. However, a smaller trailer was also released that offers a bit more. It showcases many of the interesting locations that players will visit, the different baddies they’ll fight, and some of the new mechanics. Check it out below.

Guns are both zany (an assault rifle that catches on fire and must be doused with a water pistol) and awesome (a laser-guided missile launcher). However, one nice new addition is the ability to hijack vehicles from enemies. It also seems that foes in one vehicle can hop on to yours in the middle of combat, creating a chaotic new dynamic.

Borderlands 3 is out on September 13th for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. It won’t have any microtransactions, but cosmetic skins and customizable heads can be purchased like in previous games. In terms of content, there’s a hefty 30 hour main quest to blow through (and that’s if you’re really rushing through everything).
