Borderlands 4 (4)

After showcasing Amon’s Action Skills in Borderlands 4 and how they wreak havoc on enemies (with more than a few callbacks to God of War), the team at Gearbox Entertainment have gone into more details. Check it out below.

His first tree, Cybernetics, focuses on summoning weapons. We’ve seen the dual throwing axes, but Amon can also use swords and hammers. Using Forge, he can join both axes and toss them to arc between multiple enemies. While Fire and Ice are the main elements, you can change them to Shock and other elements courtesy of the different Augments.

Vengeance is the second tree and focuses on soaking up damage, but Amon can also send out waves of ice and zap foes with lightning. If you’re playing with others, Cryonic Thrum causes Scourge to taunt foes, pulsing Cryo damage and healing allies every second.

Calamity is the third and final tree, and while it’s focused on weakening enemies, Augments allow for priming them with gun damage while Onslaught is active. They’ll explode on death or when hit by a Forgeskill, dealing Incendiary damage to nearby foes. Another neat passive allows for executing foes whose health drops below a particular amount.

Borderlands 4 launches on September 12th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC, while the Switch 2 version arrives on October 3rd. Check out the breakdowns for Vex and Rafa, and stay tuned for Amon’s character short in the coming days.
