Activision and Sledgehammer Games have a new video available for Call of Duty: Vanguard which features snippets of gameplay across various war fronts. However, the real story centers on war photojournalists Alex Potter and Sebastiano Tomada Piccolomini. The two are provided with virtual cameras (using the game’s engine) and a sound stage to capture shots as if they were actually there. Check it out below.
The main point of the video is to highlight how intricately Vanguard captures World War 2, whether it’s the atmosphere or the sound of tanks exploding and bullets whizzing by. Piccolomini notes that, “I was impressed how kinetic the game was because everything is actually happening and moving around you. This is what war looks like.” Potter also felt that, “they were situations that I would normally capture.”
Call of Duty: Vanguard is set to release on November 5th for Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5 and PC. It will launch with a single-player campaign, 20 multiplayer maps, new modes like Patrol and Champion Hill, and a new Zombies experience by Treyarch. Stay tuned for more details and gameplay in the coming weeks.
