Capcom has created a new website to celebrate Halloween during the franchise’s 25th anniversary. The website teases 7 upcoming announcements throughout October to celebrate Halloween.
The first two surprises have already been revealed, with the first one focusing on franchise merchandise, and the other a re-announcement of the Resident Evil 4 Oculus Quest 2 port. Fans should keep expectations in check as such, although talk of a possible Resident Evil Village DLC reveal is unavoidable. Resident Evil Outrage has also been rumoured for some time, though there’s no indication that Capcom will announce it anytime soon.
There’s also a possibility of Resident Evil 2 and Resident 3‘s remakes receiving current-gen upgrades too. The series’ latest iteration, Resident Evil Village, has enjoyed massive critical and commercial success. Meanwhile, in a recent turn of events, Resident Evil 7 from 2017 has hit a sales milestone in the form of 10 million units sold. Rumors of a Resident Evil 4 remake have also been making the rounds recently- check out our thoughts on the matter through here.
