Not quite like the Successor of the Ribcage, but this is still a tough fight.

Bandai Namco has unveiled another boss fight for its Souls-like action RPG Code Vein. It’s the Invading Executioner, who might look familiar since bits of gameplay with it have been seen till now. This trailer provides an unfettered look at her moves, weapon and fighting style. Check it out below.

Utilizing a scythe-like weapon, the Invading Executioner relies on spinning and dashing to damage the player. Committing too much to a frontal assault results in a spin attack that can cause major damage. It’s not quite as crazy as the Successor of the Ribcage fight but she doesn’t seem like a push-over either.

Code Vein is out on September 27th for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. We’ve seen different weapons in play and even learned how the AI partners will factor into the difficulty. For more information on boss fights, progression and the Gift system, check out GamingBolt’s interview with the developer.
