Relic Entertainment’s Company of Heroes 3 is set to receive a “surprise” announcement in the next 24 hours, according to a new tweet. Not much else was revealed, save for a desert environment teased in the attached video.

Perhaps the Dynamic Campaign Map is getting some new additions. Alternatively, a release date could be on the cards, especially since the real-time strategy game is still scheduled to release in late 2022. As such, it’s been in pre-alpha testing since July last year with participants able to try out its new features, which eventually included multiplayer.

Company of Heroes 3 is in development for PC and features a brand new sandbox-style campaign set in the Mediterranean theater. Improved destruction and combat, a Tactical Pause to queue up actions, the largest number of factions at launch, and new tech all promise the definitive strategy experience. Stay tuned for more details tomorrow when the surprise announcement goes live.
