Remedy Entertainment has finally provided a solid release date and update on the first expansion for Control, its paranormal action adventure. The Foundation releases on March 26th and will “delve into the history of the Oldest House.” Protagonist Jesse Faden will be going beneath the Bureau for answers and things are very much expected to be weird.

In a short teaser on Twitter, we do hear about Helen Marshall “checking on something”. She’s the Federal Bureau of Control’s head of operations and makes sporadic appearances during the main story. Perhaps The Foundation expansion will finally talk about just what it is that Marshall has been running off to deal with.

The Foundation is one of two expansions coming to Control. The second is AWE, releasing sometimes in mid-2020 and apparently teasing a crossover with Remedy’s Alan Wake. Given that the developer now owns the publishing rights for the property – and very blatantly teased Wake when showcasing its roadmap – it will be interesting to see how it’s involved in Control. Stay tuned for more details in the meantime.
