Remedy Entertainment’s Control is out this month for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. It focuses on Jesse Faden, who arrives at the Federal Bureau of Control headquarters, aka The Oldest House, to find out the truth about her missing brother. Of course, it’s not long before a strange entity called the Hiss invades and takes over.

In a new trailer, the developer talks about the Hiss and what it’s capable of. Jesse won’t be helpless against it – along with her own psychic powers, she wields the Service Weapon, which can change forms accordingly. By using her powers properly, Jesse can explore the ever-changing Oldest House and unravel its mysteries.

Though it’s a third person shooter, Control’s setting and overall gameplay dabbles heavily in the supernatural, while throwing in Metroidvania-style exploration as well. It releases on August 27th for Xbox One, PS4, and PC. Recently, Remedy clarified that the PC version’s requirements had been lowered, but this won’t result in a quality downgrade.
