5. The ICE team and 3rd party studios wanted tons of RAM and a powerful GPU
When Sony sent out questionnaires to various 3rd party studios, the ICE team and those studios that filled out the questionnaires wanted something in common; more power. The number one feedback was that developers wanted unified memory system, and that a powerful GPU was desirable.
