80. Valve announces Steam Machines, will compete against PS4 and Xbox One for the living room space.
Valve entered the fray with the announcement of SteamOS, Steam Machines and the Steam Controller which would work together to bring the PC gaming experience into the living room. While it seemed that it would offer competition to the PS4 and Xbox One, SteamOS is aimed more at providing an open platform for all PC games to be offered to players. It further stated that its Steam Machines would cater to both casual and hardcore gamers with its configurations and would be open to customization. And how about that Steam Controller’s haptic feedback?
