Remember Smilegate’s CrossfireX, a port of the highly popular multiplayer shooter that was announced for Xbox One? Remedy Entertainment of Control fame was tapped to work on the campaign and it’s finally showcased some gameplay footage for the same. Check it out below.

Set against the ongoing conflict between Global Risk and Black List, the two mercenary factions that form the foundation of multiplayer, the campaign talks of defying fate and whatnot. It may sound cheesy but the action looks incredibly sharp, that too in 60 frames per second. Remedy’s penchant for incredible lighting and particle effects still stands.

CrossfireX is slated to release for Xbox One and Xbox Series X later this year. It will also support Smart Delivery so that Xbox One consumers can play it, free of charge, on the next-gen console. Stay tuned for more details especially for the multiplayer beta that was leaked through the Microsoft Store in June.
