Cyberpunk 2077 Crosses 1 Million Peak Concurrent Players on Steam

It's already surpassed Dota 2, Counter-Strike: GO and PlayerUnknown's Battlegrounds.

Following its release on various platforms, Cyberpunk 2077 is already one of the most played games on Steam. Its peak concurrent player count for today is at 1,003,264 players with 891,932 currently playing as per official Steam stats. This places it squarely above the usual chart-toppers like Counter-Strike: Global Offensive, Dota 2 and PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds.

Pre-order numbers have also been very strong for the FPS/RPG with CD Projekt RED confirming eight million thus far. Currently though, the game has a “Mostly Positive” rating on Steam with 72 percent user reviews being positive. This is largely due to reported bugs, glitches and performance issues.

The developer said that the day one patch should fix number of issues but updating one’s GPU drivers has also been recommended. We’ll see how things pan out in the coming days though so stay tuned. Cyberpunk 2077 is currently available for Xbox One, PS4, PC and Google Stadia. It’s also backwards compatible on Xbox Series X/S and PS5.
