Cyberpunk 2077 might not have been the mind-blowing game many had hoped that it would be, but as disastrous as the game’s launch was, CD Projekt RED is still committed to it. The developer says it’s still at work on further improvements for Cyberpunk 2077, while a paid expansion has also been in development for a while, with CD Projekt RED expanding teams for its developments.
That said, it seems like it’s going to need some time to cook. CD Projekt recently announced in its recent quarterly fiscal briefing that Cyberpunk 2077’s expansion will launch in 2023, which might come as a bit of a disappointing to those who were hoping for a 2022 launch. CD Projekt RED also hasn’t mentioned if this will be the only expansion for Cyberpunk 2077. Prior to the game’s launch, the studio had suggested that it would receive two paid expansions similar to how The Witcher 3 was supported.
During the fiscal briefing, CD Projekt also announced that Cyberpunk 2077 has sold over 18 million units worldwide.
