Despite a troubled launch, backlash over previous-gen console performance and whatnot, Cyberpunk 2077 has still been a huge success for CD Projekt RED. The company revealed on Twitter that over 18 million copies have been sold as of April 14th 2022. These estimates are based on information provided by distributors.

The last major milestone was 13.7 million units sold in 2020, that too after factoring in refunds (which is impressive since the game launched in December). CD Projekt RED has since been working to improve the overall game. Update 1.5 released in February and on top of the Xbox Series X/S and PS5 upgrades, it also added several quality of life features, improved AI and whatnot. Check out our review of the new patch on PS5 here.

Cyberpunk 2077 is currently available for Xbox One, PS4, PS5, PC, Xbox Series X/S and Google Stadia. Patches aside, the development team is still working on expansions and other improvements for the game. Stay tuned for more details in the coming months.
