Cyberpunk Edgerunners

CD Projekt and Netflix have announced the premiere date for the anime series Cyberpunk: Edgerunners. All 10 episodes of the show are set to debut on Netflix on September 13. There is also a new trailer for the anime. Check it out below.

The trailer, titled the NSFW trailer, also features warnings for viewers who might be sensitive to strobing light effects.

Produced in collaboration with anime studio Studio Trigger, Edgerunners tells the story of David Martinez—a street kid who is just trying to survive in the dystopian future presented by Cyberpunk. After going through a personal tragedy, Martinez decides to become a mercenary outlaw—an edgerunner.

Talent behind the production of Cyberpunk: Edgerunners include director Hiroyuki Imaishi (Tengen Toppa Gurren Lagann, Promare), and animation director Yoh Yoshinari (Little Witch Academia, BNA: Brand New Animal). The screenplay has been adapted by Yoshiki Usa (Gridman, Promare), and Masahiko Otsuka (Star Wars: Visions – The Elder).
