Daemon X Machina

Nintendo had a decent presence at Gamescom, with announcements of new indie titles coming to the Switch and gameplay for some of its bigger exclusives, on top of some surprise announcements as well. One of the upcoming Switch exclusives shown off was Daemon X Machina, and it was showcased on a recent live stream, offering a closer look at the mechanics. Check it out below.

The mechs in the game are referred to as Arsenal and have some pretty great mobility to go with their dashing looks. However, the character controlling the Arsenal is called the Outer. There are certain segments where players must travel on foot, such as when sneaking into an enemy base. It’s not too bad, and there’s a sufficient amount of violence to cause inside the Arsenal, so no need to worry on that front.

With Armored Core producer Kenichiro Tsukuda and Macross series mecha designer Shoji Kawamori on-board, there’s quite a lot to like about Daemon X Machina. The game is out exclusively for the Nintendo Switch in 2019, so we should find out soon if the gameplay holds up.
