Days Gone

SIE Bend Studio’s Days Gone has received a new trailer in its World Video Series. Previous trailers detailed how hostile the world could be and the various means of transportation. This one is all about the Freakers, the different methods of combat, and how you should generally act in some situations. Check it out below.

The Freaker types include Swarmers, which travel in hordes, Newts, which attack at opportune times, and Screamers that can summon Swarmers. The Breaker seems to be your average tank-like zombie – approach those with caution. Along with automatic weapons that can be looted from enemies, players can use crossbows with flaming bolts. Perfect for burning out Freaker nests.

Stealth will be viable for dealing with larger groups, but melee combat should suffice for one or two foes. Melee weapons can be crafted, but also require repair, so keep that in mind. Combat Focus should be useful for firearms enthusiasts, since it seemingly slows down time and allows you to line up shots.

Days Gone is out on April 26th for PlayStation 4. The developer is promising a dynamic and living open world, one that’s seamless with no loading times.
