Dead Cells - The Bad Seed

Motion Twin’s Dead Cells has been consistently receiving new content and free updates since its launch in August 2018. Last month, however, the developer announced the roguelite title’s first paid DLC The Bad Seed. It was earmarked for release in Q1 2020 and thanks to a recent Microsoft Store listing, it seems to be closer than we thought.

According to the listing, the DLC will release on February 11th and retail for the previously announced price of $4.99. While an official announcement has yet to be made, it should be right around the corner. The Bad Seed DLC adds The Swamp and The Arboretum, two new biomes, to the mix.

Both will show up fairly early into a run with the former offering blow dart-spewing, spear-wielding enemies and the latter being relatively lush in greenery. A new boss and new weapons, including one that occupies two slots, are also included. Sales for the DLC will help fund future free content so it may be worth picking up for hardcore fans.
