Following the delay of Dead Island 2 to April 28th, 2023, Deep Silver and Dambuster Studios announced a showcase for the title on December 6th. The showcase is confirmed for 8 PM GMT/9 PM CET/1 PM PT and features an “exclusive gameplay revealed, showcased through an exciting cinematic live action pulp adventure.”

It will seemingly follow three survivors as they search for a safe place from the mysterious virus that spread through Los Angeles and converted its citizens into the undead. They’ll explore the abandoned mansion of a video game and movie producer, which seems to have some nasty surprises in store. An “exclusive first look” into the game and its features is also promised.

The showcase focusing on three survivors seems to imply that co-op will be revealed. Time will tell, so stay tuned for more details. Dead Island 2 is coming to Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, and PC. Despite the delay, Dambuster Studios said that development was on the “final straight now” and that it would take time to ensure “we can launch a game we’re proud to launch.” For more details on the title, head here.
