Interestingly enough, the ESRB classification for the game also makes special mention of "stealth takedowns", unlike the game's PS4 and PC versions.

Hideo Kojima announced Death Stranding Director’s Cut for the PS5 earlier this month, promising more details in the near future. Now, thanks to an ESRB rating, it seems that those details might get here rather soon.

Death Stranding Director’s Cut has been rated by the ESRB, which would ordinarily suggest that the game is nearing launch. When it was first announced, we were told that we’d be hearing more about Death Stranding Director’s Cut in just a few weeks. With that, and with rumours surrounding a new State of Play presentation heating up, one would think that that’s where we’ll be learning more about Death Stranding’s PS5 launch as well- if any of that happens, that is.

Interestingly enough, the ESRB classification for the Director’s Cut makes special mention of stealth gameplay. It reads: “In some stages, players can perform stealth takedowns of enemies (e.g., strangling characters from behind).” And why is that interesting? Because this bit cannot be found in the PS4 and PC ESRB ratings of the game. Is Director’s Cut going to have added stealth mechanics and gameplay? The announcement trailer certainly seemed to suggest that.

Either way, we’ll keep you updated should we learn anything more, so stay tuned.
