After years of being shrouded in mystery, Sony and Kojima Productions are finally starting to clear the air a bit about what Death Stranding even is. The incredible new trailer had tons of details about gameplay hidden away, while Sony and Kojima themselves have also revealed new information about how the game plays, and what its basic narrative premise is.
Recently, Hideo Kojima took to Twitter to share another interesting new tidbit relating to the game’s exploration aspects. He referred to the snowcapped peaks we saw in the recent trailer a couple of times, saying that it’s not just there as set dressing, and that there’s actually a path within the game toward it, and that you can climb all the way to the top of the mountain. Basically, he just said “You see that mountain? You can climb it!” but using different words.
Death Stranding is out on November 8 exclusively for the PS4. In case you missed it, the Japanese version of the recent trailer had some exclusive gameplay footage that you might want to check out. Take a look through here.
In the new DEATH STRANDING trailer, there's a scene Sam sets up the rope. The snow mountain is not the set, the path exists and you can actually go climb up the mountain. The snow mountain appears in the beginning of the trailer is exactly what it is.#DEATHSTRANDING #デススト pic.twitter.com/IhODkpG66R
