Death Stranding Will Not Be Playable At TGS 2018, Kojima Productions Confirms

Kojima-san is toying with our emotions on a daily basis.

Kojima Productions confirmed not too long ago that Hideo Kojima will be bringing Death Stranding to Tokyo Game Show for a stage presentation, along with the game’s Japanese voice cast. If you were hoping for the game to have an even bigger presence at the event, you might be a bit disappointed.

The studio has now also confirmed via a tweet that Death Stranding will not be playable at the event, nor will it be in exhibition- just a stage presentation, that’s all. Even that’s cause for excitement though. A new trailer for a game made by Hideo Kojima and his team is never not a good thing, and if we get more info out of it (which we most likely will), that should be enough to keep us satisfied (for now, at least).

Beyond that, there’s also speculation that Death Stranding might have a presence at this year’s The Game Awards, so we can expect plenty of info on the game in the coming months regardless. Tokyo Game Show kicks off on September 20 and ends on September 23. Stay tuned to GamingBolt for all the live coverage.
