Death Stranding Will Take “A Lot Of Time” To Beat, According To Kojima

Strap in for the long haul on this one.

We’re just a month away now from the release of Death Stranding, a game where you apparently play a postman in a broken American society that carries a baby in a bottle. Or something like that. The game promises to be something very different (if that description wasn’t enough to clue you into that). But how long is it? Well, like a lot of things around the game, we have a somewhat vague answer- but it seems that you should strap in for a long one.

In a video interview with the Russian site DTF, Hideo Kojima was asked about how long it would take to finish the game. He didn’t give a lot of details, in true Kojima fashion, but putting it simply, he said it would take “a lot of time.” Odds are this one is designed to be played for a good while, so brace yourself for the long run if you haven’t already. And considering how key NPCs can die based on your choices, it may be something you have to go over more than once (thanks to Reddit user Skolpov for translations).

Death Stranding will release only on PlayStation 4 on November 8th. A launch trailer is currently being edited by Kojima himself, so watch out for that soon.
