Ghost Game Games’ co-op mining shooter Deep Rock Galactic launched for Xbox One and PC in May last year, after having spent a couple of years in early access, and slowly but surely, the game has moved from strength to strength. Significant and consistent updates have kept the player base coming back for more, and recently, it was also announced that the game had sold over 3 million units. And soon, it’ll be opening the doors for more players to join in.

Publisher Coffee Stain has announced via press release that Deep Rock Galactic will be releasing for PS5 and PS4 in January 2022- though a specific date for when in the month the game will arrive on the consoles hasn’t yet been shared. There’s no word if a native version for Xbox Series X/S is also in the works, though one would imagine that that would also arrive down the line, now that the PS5 is getting its own native version as well.

Ghost Ship Games CEO and co-founder Søren Lundgaard said: “While it hasn’t been the best kept secret, we are delighted to finally come clean and stop hiding our long awaited arrival onto PlayStation! We are bringing the game to PlayStation fans at one of the most exciting times in the game’s development path, and are so excited to open the doors to a whole new set of fans.”

Currently, Deep Rock Galactic is available on Xbox One and PC (via Steam). Stay tuned for more details in the coming weeks on when exactly it will launch for PlayStation consoles.
