If you thought Bungie was done milking Cayde-6’s impending death for all its worth, you’d be wrong. A new cinematic trailer will be coming out today for Destiny 2: Forsaken, showcasing the Hunter Vanguard’s “last stand”. Check out the short snippet below for what to expect.
Destiny 2: Forsaken starts off with Cayde-6 taking the player character’s help to investigate the Prison of Elders. When all hell breaks loose and the inmates began to escape, the duo must do their best to maintain order. Of course, thanks to the interference of Prince Uldren, this ultimately fails and Cayde-6 is killed with his own gun.
The trailer coming today may likely appear during the actual mission itself, especially if it actually shows Cayde dying. If you want to see the trailer debut live at Gamescom, then head over to the developer’s official Twitch stream. Destiny 2: Forsaken is out on September 4th for Xbox One, PS4, and PC.
