Destiny 2 Season of the Wish

After Bungie released the final puzzle of the Imbaru Engine in Destiny 2’s Season of the Witch, players receive a cutscene with a revelation. Long story short, the next season is revealed, and it’s Season of the Wish. It goes live on November 28th and focuses on the Dreaming City and Riven, the last surviving Ahamkara.

If you played Destiny 2: Forsaken, you may remember Riven manipulating events that led to Uldren Sov murdering Cayde-6 and releasing the Fallen Barons. After revealing her deception, players ventured into The Last Wish raid to cleanse Riven’s heart. Unfortunately, that was also part of the Ahamkara’s plans and placed the city in a never-ending three-week loop.

Perhaps players will finally get the chance to break the loop in Season of the Wish. How it will set up the events of The Final Shape (which is yet to be officially delayed), which sees them venturing into the Traveler to pursue The Witness, remains to be seen. Stay tuned for more details on the next season in the meantime.
