It’s only a few days to go before Bungie’s Destiny 2 receives its latest expansion Shadowkeep. Taking place on the Moon, players are called to investigate a disturbance created by the Hive. This culminates in the discovery of the Scarlet Keep which players must investigate.

The first story mission is about reaching the Keep and finding Eris Morn, which you can see in the video below courtesy of Datto. Several gameplay elements can also be gleaned – you’ll be capturing control plates and taking on swarms of familiar Hive foes. Tanks also play a part as a massive Shrieker blocks the way forward.

Finishing moves look fairly slick and even the Sword of Crota returns. Patrol missions are also represented as past Guardian traumas, though their actual objectives are relatively the same (hunt down “X” enemy, kill this many enemies etc). Destiny 2: Shadowkeep is out on October 1st for Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Pre-loading for the game is currently live on Steam.
