Destiny 2 - Season of the Worthy

Bungie promised that Rasputin would take aim at The Almighty this past Saturday in Destiny 2. The event took place at 10 AM PDT and went on for a bit longer than many anticipated. However, after about 90 minutes of looking up at the sky above the Tower, The Almighty was no more.

While the destruction took some time to play out, the ending was quite something. A flaming piece of wreckage from the superweapon just missed the Tower and crashed behind it. Check out the tweet below via Eurogamer’s Matthew Reynolds to see how it went down.

The Tower did take a bit of damage, which players could inspect to get an emblem, plus there was some updated dialogue from Zavala and Ana Bray.  Otherwise, no new content or missions have opened up. Season of the Worthy will end tomorrow, which is the same day that Bungie will reveal its next chapter for Destiny 2. Stay tuned for more details in the meantime.
