A new destination brings new mysteries for players to solve, though every choice seemingly matters in Bungie's next expansion.

Destiny 2 The Edge of Fate

Bungie hosted another livestream for Destiny 2: The Edge of Fate, outlining what players can expect on Kepler. However, it also released a snazzy new launch trailer, which channels Remedy Entertainment’s Control in its weirdness (and the telltale telephone). Check it out below.

A new character, Lodi, discusses how the player Guardian will receive a call and an invitation that they’ll accept (because it was arranged so that they must). Every choice they make is essential, though, as they both venture a long way (and time) from home. He then ends with the words, “Eyes up, Weapon,” instead of Guardian in an intriguing subversion of Ghost’s usual line.

Between showcasing the new traversal abilities, including Mattermorph and Matterspark, the trailer also hints at the next raid. When it will go live remains to be seen, but it appears to take place in The Nine’s realm (or one of them, at least).

Destiny 2: The Edge of Fate launches on July 15th for Xbox Series X/S, Xbox One, PS4, PS5, and PC.
