Bungie’s next expansion for Destiny 2, The Final Shape, launches on June 4th. As the conclusion to the Light and Darkness saga, it sees players venturing into the Pale Heart of the Traveller to defeat The Witness. Alongside a single-player campaign, players can partake in a new raid as the final battle against The Witness.

In the latest “This Week in Destiny,” the developer revealed that the raid will go live on June 7th at 10 AM PT. On one hand, it’s remarkably close to the expansion’s release and provides little downtime for players to try it out. With no Power increase and the expansion’s story tied to the raid’s completion, it makes sense to launch it so early.

On the other hand, those preparing for the World’s First raid race will have their hands full. The timing may also prove inconvenient for those taking time off to play through the campaign and the raid. Time will tell how the decision shakes out, so stay tuned.

Destiny 2: The Final Shape will launch for Xbox Series X/S, PS4, PS5, Xbox One and PC, with new Prismatic subclasses, Exotic class items, weapons and more.
