In the midst of underwhelming updates like Grandmaster Nightfall Ordeals and Guardian Games in Destiny 2, there’s still Xur to comfort us. The Exotic vendor is currently on the barge on Nessus and has some rather fetching items for same. Better hurry though – he’ll be gone with tomorrow’s reset.
In terms of Exotic armor, Xur has Celestial Nighthawk (Hunter helm), Sanguine Alchemy (Warlock chest) and Hallowfire Heart (Titan chest), each for 23 Legendary Shards. Celestial Nighthawk is perhaps the best DPS tool available since it converts Golden Gun into a single shot that deals massive damage. Sanguine Alchemy has been reworked since launch and now causes Rift duration to pause while killing enemies with weapons.
The Exotic weapon this week is Fighting Lion, an Energy grenade launcher that costs 29 Legendary Shards. Grenades from the weapon deal more damage to enemy shields and killing those damaged by it will refill the magazine. You can also bounce shots around corners, holding down the trigger when firing and releasing it to detonate shots.
