Xur has returned in Bungie’s Destiny 2, right before the destruction of the Almighty tomorrow. The Exotic vendor can be found in The Rig on Titan. He’ll remain there until the weekly reset, which also happens to be the day that Bungie will unveil its next “chapter” for Destiny 2.
The Exotic gear this week is St0mp-EE5 (Hunter boots), Stronghold (Titan gloves) and Claws of Ahamkara (Warlock gloves), each for 23 Legendary Shards. Stronghold is a somewhat new addition to Xur’s inventory – it maximizes the Guard stat on swords equipped. Any shots that are blocked after guarding will also heal the player.
The Exotic weapon this week is SUROS Regime, an auto rifle which costs 29 Legendary Shards. The bottom half of the magazine deals bonus damage and has a chance to heal with each kill. It also has two firing modes – Focused Fire, with slower shots while aiming down sights that deal more damage, and Spinning Up, which increases rate of fire as the trigger is held. Given the current PvP meta, it’s well worth picking up.
