Destiny 2 Xur

Xur has returned in Bungie’s Destiny 2, just two weeks before the arrival of The Witch Queen. He can be found in the Winding Cove in the EDZ or in Eternity until tomorrow’s weekly reset. The Exotic weapon on sale this week is Telesto, an Energy fusion rifle, for 29 Legendary Shards.

While other fusion rifles fire their bolts after charging for some time, Telesto’s bolts stick on to enemies before exploding after some time. Netting multi-kills with the weapon will reload equipped Kinetic and Energy weapons from one’s reserves. A decent Special weapon that’s definitely worth trying out.

This week’s Exotic gear includes Aeon Swift (Hunter gloves), Aeon Safe (Titan gloves) and Phoenix Protocol (Warlock chest), each for 23 Legendary Shards. Phoenix Protocol is well worth it for those using Well of Radiance since kills and assists while within the Super will create energy for the next Super.

Aeon Swift and Aeon Safe both have the Aeon’s Wrath perk which increases reload speed and swap speed with rapid precision hits. Stunning a Champion or defeating a boss/mini-boss with allies nearby also grants a “burst” of grenade and melee energy. Those who don’t have the Sect of Force role equipped also gain Super energy.

As for this week’s Legendary armor, it’s the Gensym set with each piece costing 50 Legendary Shards and 1000 Glimmer. Check out this week’s Legendary weapons below:

  • True Prophecy – Primary Hand Cannon
  • Seventh Seraph Carbine – Primary Auto Rifle
  • The Last Dance – Energy Sidearm
  • Wishbringer – Energy Shotgun
  • Truthteller – Energy Grenade Launcher
  • Honor’s Edge – Heavy Sword
  • Tomorrow’s Answer – Heavy Rocket Launcher
