To commemorate the upcoming beta for PS3 and PS4, Bungie has launched its smartphone companion app for Destiny which is available for iOS and Android. It’s available for free and you can head to iTunes and the Play Store to pick it up.

The app essentially shows your character on your mobile device and allows you to change armour, check your inventory or view any items you looted in between missions. It’s also a great place to read up on Destiny’s lore and back-story, including more information on locations and different events occuring in the world. You can also communicate with other players through direct messaging, forums and much more. Bungie will also provide the latest news on Destiny en route to the game’s release.

Destiny will release on September 9th worldwide on PS3, PS4, Xbox One and Xbox 360. The beta begins tomorrow for PS3 and PS4, with the Xbox One and Xbox 360 receiving the beta on July 23rd.
