The closed alpha for Destiny: Rising, NetEase’s mobile adaptation of Bungie’s looter shooter franchise set in an alternate timeline, has begun. It’s available for those in the United States and Canada until December 5th, 11:59 PM PDT.

The current slate of content includes a prologue for the campaign, 11 Lightbearers (which serve as separate characters with unique abilities), Haven (the player base and social space), and the Jiangshi Metro (a free-roam destination). There are three Public Events, two Haven Ops Strike missions, the raid-like Gauntlet for six players, and other new modes like Legacy, Shifting Gates, Morgran’s Prey, and The Realm of the IX.

“Casual” activities are also available between missions, though it’s unknown what that means (possibly bounties or Patrol missions). Since the title is still early in development, the content is “subject to change.” The current focus is “optimizing our core PvE experiences and making sure we home in on the fun.” And for those who pre-registered and didn’t get in, there will be more “opportunities” to play in the future.

Destiny: Rising is in development for iOS and Android. It doesn’t have a release date.
