Too Much Grinding

Yes, the amount of grinding in Destiny: The Taken King has been reduced from Year One but here’s still an insane amount that has to be done. Obtaining Exotics from quests that involve hunting public targets, completing story missions and requiring help from friends? That’s good. Obtaining Exotics from difficult missions with crazy challenges that involve both Crucible and PvE? That’s good, even if many have a problem with being forced into PvP? Having to complete the raid to acquire an Exotic and finding nearly all of the Calcified Fragments along with various story missions and whatnot? Also good.

What’s not good is replaying Heroic Strikes and Daily Heroics in order to acquire Legendary Marks to buy Year Two versions of Year One Exotics and then leveling those from scratch. What’s not good is acquiring “X” amount of ability kills and grinding the same mobs again and again in the process. Acquiring Rare gear and weapons to infuse your preferred Legendaries at least feels somewhat acceptable in its progression, as it gets harder and harder to hit light level 300 the closer you get. But there’s still a hefty chunk of grinding involved.
