Too Much Farming

What’s worse than grinding though? Farming. In Destiny, you need materials to upgrade your weapons. These materials are spread across various planets and you won’t find two different materials on the same planet. Did we mention you have to run around the planets, running in circles in order to find said materials?

You could also just buy the materials from the Vanguard vendors but that requires Legendary Marks, which aren’t as easy to get as Vanguard or Crucible Marks in previous expansions (and are better saved for other things, like Exotic Blueprints). That’s not taking into account the Weapon Parts and Armour Materials you need for upgrading and infusing your gear (which also requires Legendary Marks), by the way.

Oh, and if you don’t have enough Strange Coins to purchase that neat new weapon or engram from Xur, then be prepared to grind for those without any real source like the Weekly Heroic to do so. You could also complete bounties but the Strange Coins aren’t a definite reward. One could run Prison of Elders but then again, one could not and have more fun in the process. There’s no easy solution for farming and Bungie’s philosophy of wanting you think carefully about spending your Legendary Marks is understandable. Some more streamlining is definitely in order though.
