Thus far, id Software has been firing on all cylinders with DOOM Eternal. The brutally fast action that defined its predecessor has been expanded on in all kinds of beautifully gory ways. One of those includes the introduction of new enemies to kill, like the Doom Hunter. Check out the battle with it below, courtesy of GameSpot (or don’t because, well, spoilers).

The Doom Hunter has been engineered to kill the Slayer and wields a number of weapons, like plasma guns, missiles, a chainsaw with two blades, and much more. As the footage showcases, players will need to take its barrier down first before laying in the damage. Other enemies will show up to assist, serving as good fodder for more ammunition.

DOOM Eternal is out on March 20th for Xbox One, PS4, PC, and Google Stadia. The Doom Hunter looks like a fun fight – now imaging facing it in earlier levels along with other tough demons, courtesy of Master Levels. Stay tuned for more details on the game, and in the meantime, check out some Nightmare difficulty gameplay here.
