Id Software’s DOOM Eternal has all kinds of tools for players to disassemble the demons with. One of them, as showcased in a short GIF on Twitter, is the Ice Bomb. Fire it via the new shoulder cannon and freeze your enemies, making them ripe for shattering.

It’s a simple tool and could be viewed as an alternative to the Stun Bomb modification from DOOM’s Plasma Rifle. Don’t expect to use this all the time but there should be upgrades that reduce the cooldown. Of course, the shoulder cannon is also capable of unleashing a burst of flames to roast enemies alive.

DOOM Eternal is slated to release on March 20th 2020 for Xbox One, PS4, Stadia, and PC (with a Switch release date still to be announced). It was delayed from its original November 2019 date to allow for more polish. Fortunately, if you pre-ordered the game, then DOOM 64 is being given as a free bonus. The latter will also release in March, 2020 for Xbox One, PS4, PC, and Switch – check out the latest trailer here.
