While id Software’s DOOM: The Dark Ages already looks incredible thanks to ray-traced global illumination, it will look even better for PC players. Nvidia has announced path tracing and DLSS Ray Reconstruction will be available for GeForce RTX GPU users in June.

It’s also touting DLSS 4 Multi Frame Generation support for RTX 50 Series cards for up to four times the average frame rate. Of course, Nvidia has garnered some backlash for its latest GPU line-up, especially with regards to pricing. The recent RTX 5060 has been criticized for only offering 8 GB VRAM, to say nothing of the manufacturer allegedly denying traditional reviews.

DOOM: The Dark Ages is out now on Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and PC. You can check out our review, where we praised the combat, visuals and presentation, though the story may not be for everyone. id Software is working on campaign DLC, though it hasn’t provided a release window. Stay tuned for updates in the meantime.
