World first? Probably.

DOOM

Remember that Ultra Nightmare difficulty in the new DOOM from id Software? The difficulty which had all the challenge of Nightmare but only gave you one life? It’s already been beaten, that too in five hours.

YouTuber Zero Master uploaded his full attempt, which is marked as a “world first”, showcasing his skills throughout. Of course, it’s also a question of playing it safe on occasion. It still is Nightmare difficulty after all – not even id Software could beat it before the game’s launch. Regardless, hats off to the man for his successful run.

DOOM released last week for the Xbox One, PS4 and PC. Despite the lack of reviews at launch, it’s been a great success both critically and commercially. Critics have praised the campaign for returning to the classic style of DOOM while introducing various modern mechanics in intuitive ways. Heck, we considered it as the best first person shooter of this generation in our review.
