When people look at CyberConnect2, they assume one of two things: “Naruto developer” or “didn’t those guys make dotHack? Man, good times”.

Nowadays, the developer earns its bread and butter by developing fighting games for the ever-popular Naruto anime series. In fact, their latest title, Naruto Shippuden: Ultimate Ninja Storm 3, is due this March for Xbox 360 and PS3.

However, the developer is also currently working on three original titles in development. Talking about their plans for the year, president Hiroshi Matsuyama stated the same on their website, indicating that these titles will be released this year itself.

Given that CyberConnect2 has experience with smartphone titles and the like, don’t get your hopes up that these will be titles on the level of Ultimate Ninja Storm’s production values. But they can deliver on the innovation, as their previous titles Night Runner and Guilty Dragon have showcased.

As for what these games are, time will tell.
