dragon quest 3 hd-2d remake

Square Enix’s Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake is out in the coming weeks, but the publisher has already released the launch trailer. It features several spoilers, so if you’ve never played the classic or want to go in blind, beware.

Based on Dragon Quest 3: The Seeds of Salvation, the story is chronologically the first and sees players as Erdrick. After their father, the great hero Ortega failed to slay the archfiend Baramos, they must rise to the occasion. You can recruit other NPCs to your party to help out, as they assume other Vocations like Mage, Martial Artist, Thief, etc.

Aside from the overhauled visuals, Dragon Quest 3 HD-2D Remake offers numerous new features, including capturing monsters and fighting with them in Monster Arenas, the new Monster Wrangler Vocation, tactics for party members, and more. It’s out on November 14th for Xbox Series X/S, PS5, PC, and Nintendo Switch. Check out the latest overview trailer here.
