Media Molecule’s Dreams is a game we’ve known about for a long time, and it’s probably been in development even longer, but soon, the game will finally be seeing its full release. And roughly month ahead of its highly anticipated launch, Media Molecule recently announced that the game had gone gold.
Over on Twitter, Shawn Layden, the former chairman of SIE Worldwide Studios, recently responded to Media Molecule’s announcement, and was full of praise for the upcoming creation suite. Layden called the game an “epic achievement”, before saying that it will “change game creation as we know it.”
Having served as the chairman of SIE Worldwide Studios for years, Layden was closely involved with the development of Dreams. His praise for the game following his departure, then, is great to see, not just because of how appreciative it is of Media Molecule’s efforts, but also because it serves as a ringing endorsement for the game.
Dreams is out on PS4 on February 14, but its launch is just going to be the beginning. Media Molecule have said that they plan on supporting the game for many, many years, and probably well past the PS5’s launch. They’ve also spoken about the possibility of expanded versions of the game- read more on that through here.
