Techland has released its development update video for Dying Light 2, providing some snippets of gameplay. Much of the video saw development team members reading mean tweets about when the game was coming out along with fears that it was cancelled. Check it out below.

Dying Light 2 is still very much coming as per Techland, but it requires more time to put out a game that fans will be playing for “months.” More information will be coming “soon” and the video ends with “2021”, perhaps indicating the release window. The gameplay showcased a Volatile and what seems to be a new special Infected, parkour and brief combat.

Dying Light 2 is currently heading to Xbox One, PS4 and PC with cross-gen support also planned. Recent reports have indicated troubled development, management issues and a haphazard design process under CEO Pawel Marchewka. Prior to this update, Techland denied that the sequel was in “development Hell,” stating that it had been announced too early instead. As always, stay tuned for more details.
