Fable

Playground Games’ Fable finally received a new trailer at the Xbox Games Showcase, with Richard Ayoade of The IT Crowd fame providing narration. It sees him annoyed about heroes in Albion and their general attitude before showcasing what his character is – the Giant in the clouds at the end of the Beanstalk. Check out the trailer below.

What follows is the hero fighting the Giant, who towers over them. Whether this is gameplay or in-engine footage (as Microsoft’s Aaron Greenberg indicated would be showcased throughout) remains to be seen. Time will ultimately tell, but in terms of facial animations and textures, it looks good.

Fable is coming to Xbox Series X/S and PC and launching on day one for Game Pass. A release date is yet to be confirmed, so stay tuned. There will also be more announcements from the Xbox Games Showcase, followed by the Starfield Direct showcasing new footage of Bethesda’s sci-fi RPG.
